James Blake and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon gave Simon and Garfunkel’s classic folk tune a new twist, performing a cover on BBC Radio on Oct. 8.
The pair, who previously collaborated in 2011, closed the Radio 1 Residency Show with the song, which Blake dedicated to a friend who had recently passed away.
Simon and Garfunkel originally recorded “The Sound of Silence” in 1964, and it appeared on their debut album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.
