The idea of a mother-and-son musical duo might strike you as odd at first, but have a listen to Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear and you’ll immediately see their unique chemistry shine.
Madisen Ward and Ruth Ward (The Mama Bear) got their start playing together in coffee houses in their hometown of Kansas City. Their performance showcase at Third Man Records earlier this year helped earn them some serious buzz which led to extensive touring and radio/television appearances across the continent. They’ll be playing in Toronto on October 30th at the Church of the Holy Trinity, but in the meantime check out their recent appearance in the Collective Arts Black Box where they performed their single “Silent Movies”.
